Mix and Shake: Top 3 Holiday Vodka Cocktails to Impress your Guests

It’s the new year, and while there are still a few restrictions and conditions for get-togethers because of the global pandemic, it does not mean that you need to ban everyone from visiting your house entirely. Ensure proper safety precautions and only invite your closest circle, then get the ball rolling. After all, no one can resist a table full of mouthwatering dishes, cozy late-night conversations, and delightful vodka cocktails!

Dust off that bar, and prepare to channel the bartender in you. Don’t worry, because the following recipes do not require complex mixing. This top-notch medley of vodkas itself is enough to make any gathering livelier and guests happier.

The Versatility of Vodkas

Among spirits, few come close with vodka’s versatility. It is a drink that anyone can savor with every sip. Whether it is served neat or in a cocktail, vodkas never fail to offer a sensational taste.

Over the years, vodka’s distillation processes, as well as its key ingredients, evolved. Initially, vodkas were made only from potatoes or other sugar-rich ingredients, and now vodkas are produced from high-quality ingredients, such as corn, rye, molasses, and wheat, and dominate both the market and drinker’s interest. As a result, a rainbow of vodka flavors is continuously available in the stores for you to enjoy and indulge in. More variants of vodkas — more cocktail mixes!

However, the volume of vodka choices can sometimes be overwhelming. On that note, it is best to start with brands that are already tried-and-tested. These include Grey Goose, New Amsterdam, Ketel, Absolut, and Belvedere Vodka that are all available at our one-stop beverage shop, Big Time Market and Liquor. Easy, Irresistible Vodka Cocktails to Serve at Holiday Parties

Parties are incomplete if there is no vodka, and your vodka cocktail choice should not be second-rate. To help you keep your guests around, here are some of the finest ideas to serve your vodka:

1. The Perfect Cosmopolitan

Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz. Burnett’s Citrus Vodka, 1 oz. cranberry juice, 1/2 oz. Cointreau, 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice

Preparation: In a cocktail shaker, add vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice, and lime juice. Fill with ice. Then shake until well-chilled. Strain the drink into fancy cocktail glasses, top it off with lime wedge and cranberries for garnish.

Tips: If your goal is to serve more than one person, you can do so by making four drinks simultaneously. First, add 1 cup of vodka, 1/4 cup of Cointreau, 1/3 cup of cranberry juice, and 2-4 tablespoons of lime juice. Stir well and adjust the taste to your liking. You have the choice to add ice to this mixture or refrigerate the drink. Once cold, this mixture makes heaven out of 4 martini glasses.

2. Black-Eyed Susan

Ingredients: 1 oz. bourbon, 1 oz. Peach Schnapps, 1 oz. Belvedere Vodka (Peach Nectar), 2 oz. orange juice, 2 oz. sour mix, orange slice, and cherry.

Preparation: In a cocktail shaker, add a decent amount of ice, the bourbon, Peach Schnapps, vodka, orange juice, and sour mix. Shake it well and pour it into a tall glass with crushed ice. Garnish with the orange slice and cherry.

Tips: The recipe above creates a tall, 7 oz. drink. If you wish to add or lessen this drink’s volume, you might want to keep the same amount of alcohol. Adjusting the orange juice measurement and the sour mix is the best way to adjust the drink.

3. Strawberry Vodka Champagne Cocktail

Ingredients: 3 sliced strawberries, 1/2 oz. simple syrup, 2 oz. Crop Organic Meyer Lemon Vodka, 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice, 1 oz. champagne, and superfine sugar.

Preparation: Use either the strawberry or lemon to wet the rim, then rim the glass with sugar. Then, pour the sliced strawberries and simple syrup into the shaker to muddle them, and add the vodka and lemon juice. Shake well and strain into the glass you prepared and add the champagne last.

Tips: If you serve this drink to guests, you may want to only put sugar on half the rim. This presentation gives your guests the option to sip their drink with or without the sugar.
